M5 Networks Named New York’s Fifth Fastest Growing Company in Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50 Program
New York – M5 Networks, one of the country’s leading outsourced IP phone system providers, has been named to Deloitte's prestigious Technology Fast 50 Program for the New York Region, a ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications and life sciences companies in the area. Sponsored by Deloitte & Touche USA LLP, one of the nation’s leading professional services organizations, the rankings are based on the percentage of revenue growth over five years from 2001–2005.
M5 Networks increased revenues 4,454 percent from 2001 to 2005, resulting in a number five ranking in the New York Technology Fast 50. The average increase in revenues among companies who made the New York Technology Fast 50 list was 1,825 percent.
Dan Hoffman, M5’s President and CEO, credits the company’s tremendous success to its employees’ constant hard work, focus and commitment to demonstrate and deliver the highest level of trustworthiness, sincerity, competence, reliability and service quality to its clients in order to distinguish M5 Networks from typical telecommunications service providers.
“To be recognized by Deloitte’s Technology, Media and Telecommunications team as one of the fastest growing companies in the New York region over the past five years is a tribute to our company’s culture of trustworthiness,” said Hoffman. “We feel this trait is especially important when dealing with our clients – small and mid-size businesses who crave a partner they can trust to handle their critical telecommunications needs. To ensure we are consistently living up to this promise, we survey our customers to see how we are doing. An overwhelming 94% of them have said they would confidently recommend M5 Networks’ Outsourced IP Phone System to another business. This is an unparalleled measure that most others within the telecommunications industry don’t even track. We are extremely proud of this mark and will continue to strive to keep our clients’ trust."
“Deloitte’s New York Technology Fast 50 companies have shown the strength, vision and tenacity to succeed in today’s very competitive technology environment,” said Ed Moran, Director of Product Innovation/Leader, Nanotechnology Industry Practice, Deloitte Services LP, New York. “We applaud M5 Networks and acknowledge it as one of the real success stories in New York over the past five years.”
To qualify for the Technology Fast 50, companies must have had operating revenues of at least $50,000 in 2001 and $5,000,000 in 2005, be headquartered in North America, and be a company that owns proprietary technology or proprietary intellectual property that contributes to a significant portion of the company's operating revenues; or devotes a significant proportion of revenues to the research and development of technology. Using other companies' technology or intellectual property in a unique way does not qualify.
Winners of the 16 regional Technology Fast 50 programs in the United States and Canada are eligible to be entered into the Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500 program, which ranks North America’s top 500 fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications and life sciences companies.
