Read your voicemail lately?
I hate listening to voicemail. Really. I hate it a lot. Why? Let’s face it, a lot of people are really bad at leaving voice mail messages. They don’t always get to the point quickly, so you have to listen to the entire three minute message to find out what they want. They leave out important information or worst of all, they mumble (or don’t even include) their phone number. It just gives me a headache.
So, about two years ago, when I joined M5, I stopped listening to voicemail messages altogether. I just don’t do it, but I haven’t missed a single message.
With our voicemail to email service, M5 Scribe, my voicemail messages are transcribed and delivered right to my email inbox. Instead of calling into voicemail and listening, (and re-listening) to messages, I just read the message, prioritize it and act. This a huge convenience. The voicemail audio is attached so the email, so if I want to, I can listen to it. As an added advantage, I now have the transcription that I can add to a relevant folder, forward to someone else or archive for compliance or discovery purposes.
I’ve almost come to take this service for granted, but on a day like today, when I am traveling and reading messages in the busy airport, rather than sitting in a corner with my finger stuck in one ear, trying to listen to them, I realize how much I need this thing. Thanks team!
