SUNNYVALE, CA, September 12, 2002 - Jennifer Stagnaro has joined Shoreline Communications, a pioneer in the development of enterprise-class IP PBX systems, as chief marketing officer. She reports to Thomas van Overbeek, Shoreline CEO.
Stagnaro comes to Shoreline after operating her own consulting firm, which specialized in strategic marketing for companies in emerging technology markets. From 1998 to 2001 she was chief marketing officer at CopperCom, a leader in local exchange softswitch and voice-over-broadband products for service providers. As one of CopperCom's first 10 employees, she was part of the team that grew the company from startup to more than $50 million in bookings and helped drive the creation of a new market in VoDSL (voice over digital subscriber line).
Previously Stagnaro had spent four years with Madge Networks, a supplier of data networking solutions to large enterprises, joining the company as director of investor relations and later becoming director of worldwide marketing. She was Madge's primary spokesperson to the financial community from the company's initial public offering through two acquisitions. She also has held marketing and sales management positions with Red Brick Systems, Oracle and Information Resources.
"Jennifer strengthens the Shoreline team with a perfect mix of talents," said van Overbeek. "She has in-depth knowledge of VoIP [voice over IP] technology and products, a track record of creating and executing compelling integrated marketing plans in new emerging markets, and the expertise to leverage channel partners to deliver the right products to our customers."
"Even as businesses are being held to increasingly tough standards," Stagnaro said, "Shoreline stands out as a company with all the key ingredients for success: a differentiated product in the large, growing VoIP market, a large number of enthusiastic customers, a strong network of resellers, and a team of professionals with a long track record of success."
A resident of Boulder Creek, Calif., Stagnaro holds a B.A. degree in computer science from Harvard University.
Barry Castle, former vice president of marketing at Shoreline, is now vice president of business development at the company.
