Shoreline Communications Names Former Broadbase Executive as Chief Financial Officer

New CFO Blends Public / Private Experience With Strong Technology Background

SUNNYVALE, CA, June 8, 2001 - Shoreline Communications, the leading provider of enterprise-class IP voice communication systems, today announced the appointment of Rusty Thomas as Chief Financial Officer. Thomas joins Shoreline with approximately 19 years of senior finance experience.

Prior to joining Shoreline, Mr. Thomas was the CFO for Broadbase Software, a publicly traded CRM software company. He also spent 14 years at the international accounting firm of KPMG, including 7 years as a partner, and 3 years as a vice president in the finance department of Rubbermaid. Thomas graduated summa cum laude in business administration from Creighton University.
